Our lives, and the lives of those before of us, are all caught up in the tide and the gentle ongoing rhythm of the waves licking sand, an infinite heartbeat that goes on long after our own ceases. We stare into the infinite expanse and for a moment we are not individuals, but a part of the cycle.
